When Scrap Dragon is initially installed on your server, two companies are available; Demo Company and Your Company. The Demo Company has initial data and is designed to be used as a practice company, allowing you to use the Scrap Dragon functionality before going live with your company.
After practice using Scrap Dragon with the Demo Company, and understanding more of what Scrap Dragon can do for you, you will edit Your Company information to be your actual company information. Set the company as the default login company. This lets you sign in and operate your company.
Company information, program settings, local computer options, and initial data entry must be completed for the newly created company to function properly.
The company Information screen has three sections:
Top Section
Company | The Company Name will appear on the Scrap Dragon Main menu screen as well as reports, tickets and forms. |
Address | First line of address |
Address (line 2) | Second line of address |
City | The City will appear on the Scrap Dragon Main menu screen |
State | The State will also appear on the Scrap Dragon Main menu screen |
Zip | Zip-Code Information |
Phone | Company Phone Number |
Company ID | The company ID is a four digit code assigned by Scrap Dragon. |
Default Login | A Default Login checkbox is available for you to designate which company will be the default company. The default company will automatically be selected at login time. You may accept the default, or select a different company |
Remote Server | A Remote Server checkbox is available for you to select if you are running from the local server or from a remote server. Most customers are running from a local server |
In the top section of the Your Company Information form (System Information screen), you will enter your company's contact information, (name, address, phone) and company ID number. The contact information is used on printed documents (e.g. tickets, invoices, etc). .
Middle Section
In the middle section of the Your Company Information form, five extra lines of input are available. These lines are available so that additional information may be printed on your documents. You can use these lines to display information to your customer about upcoming events, holiday wishes, or special promotions.
Lower Section
The paths to your data and local preferences are entered here.
Path information for Your Company may look something like this:

Navigation Buttons are at the bottom of the form. Use these buttons to move between companies. Save updated information, Undo not yet saved information or Exit the form.
The system supports multiple companies which can each be set up with different identification and data pathing.
