The Trip Planning tab opens with the trip that is currently selected on the Trips and Work Orders Tab. Plan the trip by selecting the truck, driver, the tasks and sequencing them for an efficient delivery, pickup or swap.
The screen is divided into two sections - the This Trip details and the Tasks area.
The This trip area is where you select the truck and driver and sequence the selected task if there are multiple tasks in the trip. On the This Trip area you can see the trip date, and times. There are buttons to enable printing the trip details and start, end or delete a trip. You can also change the trip list, create a new trip, and view the next or prior trip.
The Tasks for This Trip area shows all the tasks included in this trip. These can be added, edited or deleted or reorganized as needed. These can be added, edited or deleted or reorganized as needed. You can easily see whether the Task is picking up or delivering containers. The WO#/Job Code tells us about the task. This task is a setout. And you can see the Task, container type and other details.
Missing information shows up as a problem with the task in the Selected Line Problems list.
Select a task and then touch Edit Task to edit it.
The Add/Edit Task screen displays where any necessary changes can be made.
Along the top of the screen you can identify the Service Agreement if there is one and work order number. You can change the Work Order if you need to. If this work order were attached to a Service Agreement, the description and commodity would be shown.
The large lettering on the Deliver and Pickup headings make it easy to see what is happening on this work order task. This screen shows that a swap is taking place; a container is being delivered and that a container is being picked up. A 40 yard container being delivered. It's likely that you may not know the container to be delivered until the driver calls in the container information after he has it loaded or delivered it. If you don’t know which container is being delivered, select the Type of container from the list instead when adding or editing a task.
Along the bottom area of the screen are the move from / move to details. The container could be moved from a customer's location. The Move To customer information was chosen earlier in the process.
