Find a Customer

You may create a ticket without choosing a customer or find a customer and create the ticket for a specific customer.

You can also add a new customer when creating a customer ticket.

Search by typing letters into the Search field or using the on screen keyboard. A keyboard icon is shown on the screen. Touch it to open the keyboard and touch it again to close the keyboard.

When you create a ticket using the button a search menu will appear, prompting you to search for the customer.

From a Quick Ticket, you can search for a customer using the button in the upper right corner, to the left of the "A Valued Customer" placeholder name.

You can also click the button to display all customers associated with your yard. You can click the Select All Yards button to search customers at all yards. Clicking the Home Onlybutton will limit your search to customers associated with the Home Yard.

As you can see the name of the yard for your search is shown . Clicking the name of the yard will display a dropdown list of other yards at your company. Selecting a different yard will let you search through customers associated with that yard. If, for example, a customer who has done business with another yard in your company arrives at your yard, you can use this feature to find that customer's information from the other yard's database.

Using these features, you can set your search criteria. Enter information about the customer such as their last name in the Search field. You can use the Filter field to filter by last name, Barcode, company, first name and many other criteria.

In the above example, Show All customers was pressed, and the Florida Test Yard was selected. All customers associated the Florida Test Yard are shown here.

Example: When you type in the first few letters, the matches are shown below the Search field. Touch the name to display the matches.

Individual tiles are shown for each customer. Notice the customer’s picture on each tile. This picture is extracted from the customer’s driver’s license when the customer is added. This eliminates the need to display the driver’s license to verify the customer’s identity.
The example here shows the results for Blick. Just touch on the customer who is delivering this load to continue to the Buy screen.

You can edit customer details from the Customer Master file, or directly from the Buy Screen. After a customer has been selected, click on the in the upper right hand corner of the Buy Screen.
